“A Day in My Shoes – LA” is about women helping women. Each woman is photographed anonymously in her favorite pair of shoes. She then shares her personal story of triumph, which is included next to her photograph on her page in the “A Day in My Life” book.

This project aims to help women of domestic violence get back on their feet. Every woman has a story to tell and “A Day in My Shoes” serves to shed light on these stories by featuring real woman telling how they overcame obstacles in life, reached career goals, or escaped a domestic violence relationship. It honors all women and reminds them that they are beautiful and courageous.

In addition to counseling, job placement and furnished residences, Safe Passage arranges restorative surgical services through the generous donation of highly skilled doctors from “The Doctors Show”, Dr. Andrew Ordon, from Beverly Hills, Dr. Ritu Chopra and William Dorfman, DDS, along with Reporter from CBS News Stephanie Abrams as our MC and actress Taylor Armstong sharing her support.

This very special luncheon event takes place on February 25th, 2012, at the Universal Sheraton at 11:30am and includes a luncheon, entertainment, silent auction, and recognition of sponsors of Safe Passage.

For a donation of $650, you will receive a 16×20 custom framed portrait of you in your favorite shoes to be featured at the event, a ticket to the event, recognition on the Safe Passage web site and monthly newsletter. Half of the proceeds go to Safe Passage to help continue their work throughout the Los Angeles area.

Safe Passage Lives, a division of Women Crowned In Glory,Inc. is a nonprofit corporation, supported by Corporate and Individual donors. By becoming a PARTNER you will help transform the lives of abused women and their children one step at a time to a new life free from the cycle of domestic violence.

DIAMOND PARTNER – $10,000+

Five women and their children are provided psychological counseling, employment guidance, interviewing skills, and child day care. The women receive complete life makeovers, including regular medical checkups, dental care and a new image with hair and makeup to build their self-confidence. They also receive self-defense classes for the family and mentors to help them set goals to achieve that helps to transform their minds and breaks the cycle not wanting to ever go back. Our team finalizing the program with supplies them with the furnishings for their new residence.

EMERALD PARTNER – $5,000+

Three women and their children are provided psychological counseling, employment guidance, interviewing skills, and child day care. Two women and their children will receive transportation, food, and personal supplies as well as psychological counseling as to how to break the cycle of abuse. Children will receive mentoring and social skills counseling.

RUBY PARTNER – $1,000+

One woman and her child will receive counseling and personal supplies for all necessary and emergency needs.

AMETHYST PARTNER – $500+

One woman and her child will be provided with emergency food and clothing.

OPAL PARTNER – $100+

One woman will receive complete business attire, employment counseling, and job interviews.

FRIENDSHIP PARTNER – $25+

One child will receive personal supplies for school.

All other donations of any size are greatly appreciated.

All donors will be recognized at Safe Passage sponsored events during the year and be given the opportunity to meet the women and children they have helped or sponsored.
